Terms of Service

Effective 1 October 2026 · Last updated 1 October 2026

Welcome to Sahajjo. These terms explain how our platform works and the rules for using it. Sahajjo is operated by ilmine Technologies. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms along with our Privacy Policy, Withdrawal Policy, and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use Sahajjo.

Nothing here takes away rights you’re given under Bangladesh law. Where a term here conflicts with a right you can’t legally give up, that right still applies.

What Sahajjo is

Sahajjo is a marketplace that connects clients (people who need a task done) with helpers (people who offer to do it). We give you the tools to find each other, chat, agree on a price, hold payment safely while the work is in progress, and raise a dispute if something goes wrong.

We are not the one providing the services, and helpers are not our employees. Helpers are independent people offering their own work. The agreement for any job is between the client and the helper. Our role is to run the platform, hold payments in escrow for online jobs, and help resolve problems — not to guarantee the work itself.

Who can use Sahajjo

You need to be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. You’re responsible for giving accurate information when you sign up and keeping it current, and for following the laws that apply to you and to any task you post or take on.

Your account

You sign in with email and password or with Google. Keep your login details safe — you’re responsible for what happens on your account. Use one account per person, and don’t sell, share, or transfer it, or create extra accounts to get around limits, fees, or a suspension. Tell us at support@sahajjo-bd.com if you think someone else has accessed your account. You can act as a client, a helper, or both; the helper rules (verification, withdrawals, commission) apply whenever you work as a helper.

How a job works

A client posts a task with a description, budget, location or remote setting, and timing. Helpers send offers, or a client makes an offer to a specific helper. Once both sides agree and — for online jobs — the client funds the job, the helper begins. The helper marks the work delivered, and the client either accepts it, asks for a reasonable revision, or opens a dispute if there’s a real problem.

Clients should post honest tasks, respond within a reasonable time, pay through the app for online jobs, and review delivered work promptly. Helpers should only take on work they can do, do it with reasonable care, keep communication honest, and keep payments on the platform.

Payments, fees, and escrow

For online jobs, the client pays through our payment gateway. Once the payment is confirmed, the money is held in escrow by the platform and released to the helper after the client marks the job complete and a short holding period passes, or as decided in a dispute. Sahajjo charges a commission on jobs, shown in the app before you commit; the rate in effect at the time applies. Helpers on an active Sahajjo Pro subscription aren’t charged commission while it’s active.

For cash jobs, the client pays the helper directly and Sahajjo doesn’t hold or refund that money. When a cash job is completed, the helper owes Sahajjo its commission on that job and needs to settle any outstanding commission before taking on new work, unless their subscription covers it.

All fees, commissions, and refund amounts are worked out by our systems. The figures shown in the app are what apply, and third-party gateway charges or taxes on your own income are your responsibility.

Withdrawals

Helpers withdraw their available earnings to bKash, Nagad, or a card/bank account. This needs identity (NID) verification and is subject to limits, fees, and manual review. The full rules are in our Withdrawal Policy.

Cancellations, refunds, and disputes

A client can cancel a job before the work is delivered; a cancellation charge may be kept from the refund. Once work is delivered, the client can’t cancel — they either accept it or open a dispute. If a client and helper can’t sort something out, either of them can open a dispute on the job, and an administrator reviews the evidence and decides a fair outcome. Escrow for that job is frozen while the dispute is open. The details, including what’s refundable and how long things take, are in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Verification

Some features — such as withdrawing earnings or taking certain job categories — need identity or credential verification. Submit only genuine documents that belong to you. Submitting false or someone else’s documents can lead to suspension or removal. A verification badge or trust level reflects a check we did at a point in time; it isn’t a guarantee of anyone’s conduct, and you should still use your own judgement, especially around safety for in-person jobs.

What you can’t do

Don’t use Sahajjo to commit fraud or scams, post fake jobs or fake profiles, impersonate someone, or launder money. Don’t harass, threaten, or abuse anyone, post fake or retaliatory reviews, or share phone, wallet, or bank details in chat to move payment off the platform to dodge fees or escrow protection. Don’t offer or request illegal or harmful services, and don’t attack, scrape, or interfere with the platform or its security. These rules exist to keep Sahajjo safe — they’re not meant to limit ordinary, honest use.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you post — your profile, listings, messages, photos, and reviews. You give us permission to host and display that content as needed to run the platform, such as showing your listing to helpers, delivering your files to the other party, or using job photos as evidence in a dispute. You’re responsible for what you share and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law. The Sahajjo name, logo, and software belong to ilmine Technologies and stay ours.

Availability

We work to keep Sahajjo running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and features may change over time. We may pause or limit the service for maintenance, security, or legal reasons. Sahajjo also relies on outside providers — for sign-in, media storage, payments, notifications, and maps — and your use of those parts may be covered by their terms too.

Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Sahajjo at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account & data. We may suspend, limit, or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others or the platform at risk, or where the law requires it, and we’ll give a reason where it’s reasonable to do so. Closing an account doesn’t cancel obligations already in place, such as commission owed or an open dispute.

Our responsibility

Sahajjo connects clients and helpers; we’re not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of the work itself, or for how users behave toward each other. As far as the law allows, ilmine Technologies isn’t liable for indirect or knock-on losses from your use of the platform or your dealings with other users. None of this limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and it doesn’t affect your rights as a consumer.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll change the date above and, for important changes, let you know in the app; continuing to use Sahajjo after that means you accept the update. These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any disputes fall under the Bangladeshi courts.
